My Adult Observation

You know us older generation can talk a lot about our younger years with the sex topic. I think people are still doing it, but when we were younger we were scared to try anything. Now the kids just look at us and say it will never happen to us.

My daughter started dating men about when she was 17 and I could tell her things that my parents used to tell me. It never did me any good though.

I would listen to my daughter’s conversations on the phone off and on and I would hear say to a friend she send his bedroom. Being a mom I had to keep quiet. A couple of nights later I would over hear her again and say he is so soft to touch. As you know, mom’s nerves were getting hotter and hotter.

Oh enough is enough, and I call her to the table and have a nice talk with her. I asked her whose bedroom was nice and who was soft. Oh mom, it has nothing to do with me dating men. We were talking about Pina’s bedroom. You remember Pina has a passion for everything colorful. Well her bedroom is everything but colorful.

Please mom have some trust in me when it comes to dating men. So far, we only date when a two or three of us are together. We always double date, and I probably will continue doing that at least until I am senior. I know mom how it used to be when you were younger and what you dad said about you dating men. I remember you giving me the same talk to me, so I am aware of a few things.

Just remember one thing mom, when I start dating men and that means having a single date with them, I will tell you beforehand. Not after I do the dating scene. Beside, if I was dating men around here, I would have to think twice before I picked out one around here. Some of them do not strike me as men.

Too many of them have a passion for sex all the time, and besides I like the soft and cuddly kind. I do not want to be thought of as a sex object, and most of the men around here think that is what dating is all about. Sorry, but it is not in my book.
